My work serves as a response to the flatness of painting by attempting to represent depth through geometry and color, rather than illusionistic representation or perspective tactics. I am influenced by the mechanical process, namely the precision and control inherent in the machine, which lead to a strict adherence to hard-edge geometric form and my use of the stripe. Additionally, color is the second component within my work for relaying depth, in which, I utilize a phenomenon in optics known as chromostereopsis to guide my palette choices to simultaneously create the illusions of depth and flatness. I also like to make videos.
